Our Services on Evaluation of Potential Endocrine Disrupting Properties

For agrochemicals and biocides, the evaluation of potential endocrine activity according to EFSA “Guidance for the identification of endocrine disruptors in the context of Regulations (EU) No 528/2012 and (EC) No 1107/2009” is mandatory. The classification of a substance as endocrine disruptor is a cut-off criterion, resulting in restriction of registration.

We support you with the following services:

  • Identification of Endocrine Disruptors according to ECHA and EFSA Guidance document (2018)

  • Gather and analyse available toxicological and ecotoxicological data

  • Report of data in Excel template according to Appendix E of the Guidance document

  • Identify possible hazards and data gaps

  • Develop testing strategy

  • Study monitoring

  • Creation of the assessment report

  • Meetings with authorities

  • Close contact and exchange with experts and study directors performing studies to determine endocrine-mediated effects

The Vali Micro-Unit for an Endocrine Distruptor (ED) project includes toxicology- and ecotoxicology experts supported by our external network if needed.
Vali works closely together with ED expert Dr. Melanie Lichtenberger and the study directors from ibacon GmbH.
